Learn about and meet some interesting birds while visiting several educational / environmental booths. Stroll along the historic streets\, shops\, and restaurants of downtown Rockton for an entertaining day. \nStateline Mass Transit District will be providing free shuttle bus service from Rockton to the Nygren Wetland Preserve Overlook throughout the festival. SUMMARY:Old Settlers Days
DESCRIPTION:Old Settlers Days is organized by the Rockton Lions Club. This four day event occurs every summer in Settlers Park in Rockton\, Illinois. It as become a great place for families to enjoy some fun at the carnival and for folks to enjoy amazing music – both local and national. They’ve hosted talent such as\, Luke Bryan\, Zac Brown Band\, Warren Zeiders\, Nate Smith\, Jake Owen\, Montgomery Gentry\, Nelly\, Chris Jansen\, Sam Hunt\, Chris Young\, Lee Brice\, Thomas Rhett\, Jamey Johnson\, Flo Rida\, Nelly\, and Billy Currington to name a few. \nThis favorite event of the community relies on the dedicated efforts of community volunteers and the generous support of our sponsors. \nAll funds raised go directly back into the Rockton community\, supporting various local organizations and initiatives. While they do have paid security staff to ensure the safety of our attendees\, no one involved in planning the festival is paid. At this year’s festival\, we will highlight some of the organizations we’ve donated to over the past year. \nSee links for lineup and tickets!
